Hello! I’m James.

I am a senior software engineer from Kansas City, Missouri. I am currently improving health care at Oracle Corporation as a backend developer.

I hold two degrees from the University of Central Missouri; a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Cybersecurity.

Interests & Lifestyle

I started using computers at a very young age. My father did hobby-level computer repair and this is how I was introduced to the trade. My main interest in the domain is computer networking and I took a few extra classes on the subject while in high school. I also dabble in front-end web development (I made this blog’s theme!)

Outside of computing, I am a fan of motorsports. Honda/Acura is my favorite brand and competitor. I own a 2024 Acura Integra Type S! So far, no tuning has been done, but I may get around to it some day. I also own a Honda lawn mower and string trimmer (I am very committed.)

Some trivia about me

• I grew up in a town of 300 people.
  • There were no stores or stoplights, and only one paved road!
• My first job was at a computer repair store in a town 10 miles away from my childhood home. I worked there during my senior year of high school.
• I own multiple pet guinea pigs, and they are very spoilt.
• I have a very diverse taste in music!
  • Progressive Metal, Eurobeat, Industrial, Drums’n’Bass, Hip-Hop/Rap, Vaporwave, Ambient, Noise and more!
• Despite having a somewhat secluded lifestyle, I love spending time with others.
