It has been very stressful at work lately. Not much time to blog in the past few days! I’m currently going through multiple background investigations to obtain clearance for specific subject areas at work. It is a **LOT** of work.

It’s 4:00 A.M. and the 16 hour journey back home begins.

Finishing up my vacation in Navarre, Florida. I figured I shoud post some of the best photos I got. Until next time, Florida!

A photo taken of Navarre beach in Florida from the 17th floor of a condo building. The sky is moody with a large cloud-line blowing in. The sun is hidden and the beach is completely empty with no people around. The ocean is a deep blue in the distance and slowly fades into an emerald green near the shore. Another photo of Navarre Beach. A large rain cloud has blown in and is pouring down in the near distance over the ocean. The rest of the beach is clear but windy. The sky is cloudy and there are no people on the beach.A photo taken while standing chest-deep in the Navarre beach water. In the distance the Navarre pier can be seen. Many people are around enjoyig the clear emerald green water. To the far left of the photo, beach-side condos can be seen. The sky is foggy/cloudy.A panoramic photo of the front-balcony of the condo I was staying at. It is in the evening with the sun setting. Below many parking lots and small housing units can be seen under orange street lighting. In the distance, part of the ocean can be seen along with the bridge that leads to the Florida mainland form the Navarre island.A photo taken in Navarre FL from the 17th floor balcony of a beach side condo. The photo was taken facing straight down to the ground. The condo's outdoor pool is seen illuminated by orange lights. The pool area is surrounded by wild fauna. The beach can be seen near the top of the photo.

I’ve been using [Photomator](https://www.pixelmator.com/photomator/) to touch up some of my Florida photos. What an incredible tool! I plan on sharing a larger photo set at the end of this week.

It was a good day at Navarre. Not too burnt yet!

A photo of the Navarre FL beach taken from under an umbrella. The sky is clear and there are beach chairs set up in the distnace. A photo taken at the pool close to the beach. A few clouds seen in the sky. Along the pool side there is a fence and tall grass.

Spent my birthday on the beach. 🤙🏼 Couldn’t ask for a better 31.

Made it to Navarre, Florida! Looking forward to disconnecting from work for a while. ⛱️

The beach and coast of Navarre, Florida. It’s somewhat cloudy with clear emerald green water. Photo taken from a balcony 15+ floors up.

A good read from the [Oracle blog](https://www.oracle.com/news/announcement/blog/keep-linux-open-and-free-2023-07-10/) in regards to IBM’s recent hostile behavior in the FOSS space.

I typically refuse to use anything other than stable software, but I made an exception recently with the Orion browser and 1Password. On nightly builds of 1Password, they have finally rolled out “Trusted Browsers” allowing you to integrate 1Password with any browser of your choice, including Orion!

A screenshot of the 1Password settings dialog. The browser tab is selected, and a Trusted Browsers section is visible. Under Trusted Browsers there are two browsers that have been added: Orion and Orion RC.

Well… I see that lemmy(dot)world got hacked and is now re-directing to an old-school shock website. Very good… 🫥
